You know her … probably as a singer/performer/actress, right?
#holla! Rihanna (Robyn Rihanna Fenty) has sold more than 30 million albums! Our girl has a voice!!
She tours like the force she is, too. She’s the first female solo artist to sell out 10 concerts at London’s O2 Arena. Her world tours go to 100 countries or MORE each time, and she sells them OUT!
But did you know she’s also a fashion icon and designer (who has also received the Fashion Icon Lifetime Achievement Award)?
Did you know that she’s also a massively successful entrepreneur … and CEO of multiple companies that are killing it?? (“Rihanna,” “Rebelle By Rihanna,” “Reb’l Fleur,” “Clara Lionel Foundation,” “Westbury Road Entertainment,” “Vision Nation Artists,” and “Rihanna Entertainment,” to name just some of them … and YES, she is only 30 years old!)
She’s branded and launched Fenty Beauty, the cosmetics line that caters to Black Women—with 40 different shades of foundation, girl! #flawless
And let’s talk bottom lines, for just a minute … Fenty Beauty made some serious paper in its FIRST MONTH of business …
$72 million (in earned media value).
What I deeply appreciate about Rihanna is that she gives BACK.
- She donates proceeds from the Viva Glam lipstick/lip gloss campaign to benefit women and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
- In 2014, she became Puma’s “global ambassador for women’s training,” and is now their creative director.
- In 2012, she started the Clara Lionel Foundation, named after her grandparents Clara and Lionel, which “works to improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts and culture.”
So yes, Rihanna is a celebrity.
But she’s also #somuchmore.
She’s another sister entrepreneur who makes a difference while making her paper.
Sharing her gifts, and defying impossible!!!
